A podcast focused on you, rather than your business.

The Obsessed Entrepreneur is a long-form podcast hosted by Ben Jacob-Smith – one honest, in-person conversation about the human story behind the success. The reality before, the struggle through, and the mindset that shapes what comes next.

It isn’t another business podcast. We’re not here for revenue figures and growth tactics. We’re here for what you’re obsessed with – what kept you going, what you came through, what was in your head when it was hard, and how the meaning of success has shifted since you started.

Filmed in person, lightly edited and unfiltered – your story, told properly, so the next founder facing the same wall can see a way through it.

The real story. Not the polished one.

We want the real story – the unpolished one. Most conversations follow the same arc.

Where it started

The moments in your background that shaped how you think. The early decisions that set your direction, the things that nearly broke you, and the mistakes that became your most useful lessons.

The turning points

The conversation that changed everything. The failure that forced you to change direction. The decision you made against all the advice – and the moments of doubt along the way.

Where you are now

Where the obsession has taken you, what success means to you today, and what still keeps you obsessed.

It’s a 60-minute conversation, and the best ones go well past surface answers. We’re after the specific moments and decisions – and not just what happened, but how it felt and what it taught you. The more honest and specific you’re willing to be, the more the conversation has to give.

You control your story. Nothing is forced – if something feels too sensitive, we move past it, or take it off-record. This is honest storytelling, not sensationalism, and you’ll never be put in a position you didn’t agree to.

Founders get asked what they built. We want to hear what it took.

An ITV and Channel 4 producer, with you from first call to final take.

Your producer is Takis Lykotrafitis – a producer and director with over a decade in television and commercial production. He holds a degree in Media and a diploma in cinematography.

He’s with you across the whole thing. Takis runs your research session, gets to know you and your story properly, then takes charge of production on the recording day – pre-production through to the final edit. The same person, start to finish, so nothing is lost in a handover.

His work spans broadcast television for ITV and Channel 4, international drama, and commercial campaigns for brands including McDonald’s – all of it built on drawing genuine, detailed stories out of real people, and the trust to do that quickly. It’s exactly what your episode depends on.

You’ll be in experienced hands – and your time treated accordingly.

Straight off the train, into a proper studio.

The Academy works for ambitious owners at very different points. Most see themselves in one of these three.

Made to show you at your best.

Every episode is made to broadcast standard. The studio is built and kitted for it – so the finished podcast does justice to the story you’ve told.
