When do I actually get paid?
When your referral signs a 12-month contract with us and their first Direct Debit clears – usually about 14 days from signing. The cash lands in your account on the 15th of the month after that. If they sign on the 10th of March and their DD clears on the 24th, you’re paid on the 15th of April.

What happens if they cancel?
If they cancel within their first 90 days, the commission is reversed. If they’re still a client after 90 days, your commission is confirmed and can’t be clawed back. Most clients stay well beyond 90 days, so this rarely comes up.

What if they’re already talking to Obsessed?
If they’re already in our system as a contact – from a previous podcast enquiry, marketing campaign, or prior lead – no commission fires. We’ll tell you straight away, so you know before you’ve done any work.

What if two people refer the same person?
First to submit wins. So if you know someone might get referred by more than one person, submit them first. Attribution goes to whoever gets the submission in first.

Is there a cap on referrals?
No cap. Refer one. Refer a hundred. Every business owner who signs earns you £250. If you want to make this a proper income stream, our Ambassador and Partner tiers are built for exactly that.

Can I refer my own business?
No. Self-referrals aren’t permitted. Neither are referrals of any business where you’re a director or hold 25% or more of the shares.

How long is a submitted referral live?
Three months. If the person you referred signs within three months of your submission, you’re paid. After three months, the submission expires and someone else could refer them.

GDPR – is it OK to share someone’s details?
Yes, provided you’ve got their permission first. That’s what the checkbox at submission is for. When we contact them, we tell them you introduced them, and they can opt out of any further updates if they’d rather keep things private.
