How you can introduce someone to Obsessed, and when you may receive a referral payment.

The terms for making a one-off referral without joining Obsessed Ambassadors.

Last updated: 22 September 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms apply when you use the one-off referral route operated by Obsessed Ltd to make a genuine warm introduction without joining Obsessed Ambassadors. They govern that Referral and any Referral Payment arising from it. They do not create a Portal account, tier status, bonus eligibility, leaderboard position, milestone progress or access to the Ambassadors Circle.

If you later choose to join Obsessed Ambassadors, future Programme referrals are governed by the separate Obsessed Ambassadors Programme Terms. A one-off Referral does not count towards Programme progression unless Obsessed expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

2. Parties, acceptance and one-off status

2.1 These Terms are between Obsessed Ltd, company number 17143772, whose registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ (“Obsessed”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and the individual or legal person submitting the one-off Referral (“Referrer”, “you”, “your”).

2.2 You accept the version of these Terms shown with the referral form by selecting the acceptance box and submitting the Referral. No wet-ink or e-signature is required. The system record of the submission, version and timestamp may be used as evidence of acceptance.

2.3 Each one-off Referral is a separate submission under the Terms presented at that time. This route is not membership of Obsessed Ambassadors and does not create employment, agency, partnership, fiduciary duties or authority to bind Obsessed.

2.4 In these Terms: “Business Day” means a day other than Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday in England; “Referred Contact” means the person whose authorised contact details are submitted through the one-off referral form; “Referral” means a genuine warm introduction validly submitted under these Terms; and “Referral Payment” means an amount earned under clause 5.

3. Warm introduction and permission

3.1 Refer only a person you have actually spoken to about Obsessed. Before you submit their details, they must have agreed that you may share those details with Obsessed and must be expecting Obsessed to contact them about its services.

3.2 The referral form must identify the Referred Contact and their business and include at least one email address or telephone number they have authorised Obsessed to use. An optional short context note may be included, but do not submit unnecessary sensitive or confidential information.

3.3 No purchased lists, scraped contacts, cold leads, fabricated permission or personal data shared without the required permission. You remain responsible for the truth of the declaration you make. Obsessed retains its own statutory data-protection responsibilities.

4. Attribution and referral eligibility

4.1 Attribution begins only when the one-off referral form records a valid submission. Email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, verbal introductions or messages sent outside the designated form do not reserve attribution unless Obsessed has expressly designated a temporary alternative because of a verified system failure.

4.2 The first valid system-recorded Referral for the relevant referred business or client wins. This rule applies across both the one-off referral route and Obsessed Ambassadors. If the relevant referred business or client has already been validly referred, is already recorded in our CRM or active sales pipeline as an existing prospect or client, or is otherwise already the subject of a genuine active opportunity before your submission, no Referral Payment is ordinarily due unless Obsessed confirms an exception before conversion. A contact record relating only to the same individual does not by itself exclude a genuinely separate legal entity or materially separate opportunity. Separate genuine legal entities may qualify independently if each is separately and validly referred.

4.3 The attribution window is 90 days from valid system submission. The relevant client engagement must be entered into within that window.

4.4 Self-referrals do not qualify. You may not claim a Referral Payment for your own business, a business of which you are a director, or a business in which you directly hold 25% or more of the shares, voting rights or ownership interests.

5. Referral payment

5.1 “Initial Client Value” means the initial accepted commercial commitment attributable to the Referral, excluding VAT, statutory fees, disbursements and third-party charges. Later upgrades, cross-sells, renewals or price increases do not create a top-up for the same Referral.

5.2 These are one-off referral economics only. One-off Referrals do not unlock the £350 or £450 Programme rates, Momentum, Streak, lifetime milestones, awards, Portal rewards or Ambassadors Circle benefits.

5.3 A Referral Payment is earned only if the eligible client engagement is accepted where required and Obsessed receives the first cleared payment actually due under that engagement. Signature alone does not trigger payment.

6. Payment, verification and clawback

6.1 If a Referral Payment becomes due, we will contact you for the payee, bank, address, VAT and invoicing/payment information reasonably required. We do not need that information merely to submit the introduction. Payment is made to the Referrer that earned it unless Obsessed approves another payee in writing.

6.2 VAT follows your actual VAT status. If you are VAT registered, VAT is payable only where properly invoiced or under a valid written self-billing arrangement. If you are not VAT registered, do not charge VAT. You are responsible for your own tax position.

6.3 Referral Payments remain provisional for 90 days from the date the first cleared payment described in clause 5.3 is received. Clawback applies only where the underlying engagement is genuinely rescinded, refunded, released, written off or otherwise materially unwound so Obsessed permanently loses all or a material part of the relevant Initial Client Value. A cancellation request, arrears or non-payment alone do not automatically create clawback while the relevant fees remain legally due.

6.4 Full permanent economic loss may result in full clawback; partial permanent loss may result in a reasonable proportionate adjustment. After the 90-day period, a payment is final except for fraud, deliberate manipulation, duplicate/error, payment reversal/chargeback or circumstances showing it was never properly earned.

7.1 We will normally acknowledge receipt of the Referral by email. We may provide limited stage-based updates where appropriate, including that the Referral has converted, that a Referral Payment is due, or that the 90-day attribution window has expired. We do not promise real-time sales updates.

7.2 We will not disclose substantive conversations, prices/packages, tax or accounting affairs, payment arrangements, financial details or reasons for buying or not buying merely because you made the introduction. The Referred Contact may opt out of interim updates; we may still provide the minimum information necessary to administer a lawful Referral Payment.

7.3 The main Obsessed Privacy Policy governs how Obsessed Ltd handles information submitted through the one-off referral form. The Referred Contact will be told the source of the introduction and given or directed to appropriate privacy information. If they later enter a service or professional relationship, separate service-specific privacy information may also apply, including the Obsessed Accounting Ltd Privacy Notice where relevant.

8. Your conduct and authority

8.1 Poor conversion of a genuine warm Referral is not misconduct. The restrictions below target fabricated, misleading or manipulative activity.

9. Changes, liability and general terms

9.1 The Referral keeps the one-off payment rate and 90-day attribution window in force when it was validly submitted if a later change would be less favourable. We may apply a later more favourable change if we choose. Urgent legal, regulatory, privacy, fraud-prevention, security or system changes may take effect immediately where necessary.

9.2 Properly due Referral Payments remain payable in full and are not damages. Subject to applicable law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business, opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill or reputation arising from the one-off referral arrangement. Obsessed’s aggregate liability for other claims is capped at £2,500. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing in the exclusions or limits in this clause limits a Referrer’s liability for fraud, deliberate dishonesty, fabricated permission, bribery or comparable deliberate misconduct.

9.3 If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed and the rest will continue. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver. Clauses concerning accrued payment/correction, privacy, liability and governing law survive where their nature requires it.

9.4 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and, subject to mandatory law that cannot be displaced, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
