We use a small number of cookies and similar storage or access technologies on obsessed.co.uk to operate and secure the site, handle forms and bookings, display third-party testimonial content and understand website interactions where the relevant technology is enabled.
We do not currently use Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads remarketing, Google Analytics 4 or Google Tag Manager / Google Tag, and we do not use website cookies to sell your personal data.
This policy explains the categories of storage and access technologies we use, what they are used for, the third-party services involved and the choices available to you. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
Some storage and access technologies are necessary to provide or secure a website feature that you request. Where a technology falls within an applicable PECR exception, we do not need to ask for consent before using it for that exempt purpose.
This can include technologies needed for core website operation, security, load/session management or form protection. Google reCAPTCHA is used on our forms to reduce spam and abuse and may process technical/device information for that security purpose.
We still explain these technologies even where consent is not required.
3. Non-essential cookies
Non-essential cookies are the ones we use to understand how the site is performing, or that get loaded when third-party tools (like the Calendly booking widget) appear on a page.
The non-essential cookies we currently use fall into two categories:
Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site – which pages they read, how long they spend, where they came from. This helps us improve the content and design. GA4 sets cookies on your device that include a unique identifier and information about your visit. Google may use this data in line with their own privacy practices.
Third-party embed cookies. When you visit a page that includes an embedded booking calendar (for example /advisory-session), Calendly’s widget loads on the page. Calendly may set its own cookies as part of the booking interface. We block these until you give consent.
Marketing and advertising cookies. We don’t currently use any. If that changes in future – for example, if we set up Meta or LinkedIn pixels for advertising – we’ll update this policy and add a cookie banner before any such cookies fire.
4. How to manage your preferences
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, delete cookies, or get an alert before a cookie is set. Here’s where to find those settings:
Blocking strictly necessary cookies through your browser may cause parts of the site to behave unexpectedly. For everything else, you can decline and the site will still work normally.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if we add or remove cookies, change how we use them, or if cookie law changes.
When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
